Transporting Issues with Composite Provider to QA.

Hi,

 

In Composite I have few info
objects (0wagetype, zpayscale, 0COUNTY_CDE, 0PAYSCALEAR, PAYSCALEGR, 0PAYSCALETY,0PAYSCALELV, 0PERSIDNO, 0WAGETYPE etc;) having 0country_ID as compoudning attribute. While developing this object I find no issue and it is active in status. I have collected in TR and able to release the task. But while importing the composite provider in QA environment I’m facing this issue TR getting failed to import (below screen shot).

 

But when I remove the info objects which are having 0country_ID as compounding and kept only one info object (0wagetype) which is having 0country_ID compounding. I’m able to import the TR in QA in this case.

I knew compounding attribute concept is not accept in HANA (I read some where). Please advice is there any way to achieve this scenario to bring all the info object which are compouding attributes and make TR import succesfully.

How to consume "XXL" attribute in BEx query or Info-provider (BW 7.4 sp11 on HANA)

Hi,

 

I created "XXL" attribute enabled Info-object and able to load data successfully but i am unable to view "XXL" attribute data in BEX query.

I am also not able to add/display "XXL" attribute in any info-providers.

 

Please let me know how can i consume "XXL" attribute in BW..

contains small letters (not allowed in SAP-BW) for Virtual Provider on Hana View

Dear Experts,

 

      I developed a virtual provider to consume data from Hana View. After mapping infoobjects to Hana View fields, I face the error "contains small letters (not allowed in SAP-BW)"

   Even though I already marked the flag "Lowercase Letters" at the InfoObject ZBUSAREA, the error still persists.

   I also set ALL_CAPITALS in RSKC, but it's not workable.

 

   Has anyone faced this kind of error?

How to load a hierarchy from InfoObject in the same BI-System

Hi,

 

we are on SAP BW 7.4.

I try to understand how the transfer of an hierarchy from one InfoObject to another InfoObject in the same BI-System works.

 

Both InfoObjects have the same structure.

 

We will need this Transfer to load later hierarchies from IO's from BPC into our reporting-IO's.

BWonHANA: Copying data from virtual provider to real-time cube via Function BI IP

Is it possible to copy data  planning function(BI IP) from virtual provider(takes data from the view HANA) to real-time cube?

Is there any documentation on this process(how to... or other)?

Hello, i want to know something from you gurus. How can a BW developer get in HANA environment?  I am a BW developer and know basics of how enterprise HANA works. I want to know if I have a BW model pulling data from ECC, how can I build the same model in HANA? Where should I go to learn something like that?  Is this where the market is going? I hear a lot that Hana will almost replace BW so I am very afraid what will happen to people like me in long term.

Source System does not Exist on Open ODS View based on Database Table or View

Hi everyone,

 

I want to make an Open ODS View based on Hana Live view on our Hana server.

I set the database schema as _SYS_BIC and the source system as _SYS_BIC02 (Instance Number is 02).

But I got warning text, something like this: Source System does not exist. It will be created.

When I tried to browse the source system, there are no help entries at all, so I'm kinda lost here.

 

Does anyone know how to make this work?

Usage of W-O DSO in BW 7.4 on HANA

Hi Expert,

 

I have just started working on replacing the traditional LSA structure with classical DSO's and Infocubes with Advanced DSO's/Composite Provider/Analytic Views. My question is if it makes still sense to use the Write-Optimize DSO in LSA++ structure with BW 7.4 on HANA and build on top an Advance DSO or it is obsolete (Adv. DSO can behave as WO DSO)?

Celoxis connectivity with SAP HANA

Hi,

 

We have a requirement for connecting Celoxis source system to SAP HANA. Does SAP HANA support Celoxis system?

For loading or replicating tables from any databases to HANA we  can use SAP LT Replication Server (SLT), but SLT supports only below databases as per the  SC documents here :-SAP LT Replication Server Overview

 

 

MSFT SQL Server Enterprise Edition

Oracle Enterprise Edition

IBM DB2 LUW/ UDB (DB6)

IBM DB/2 zSeries

IBM DB2 iSeries (former AS/400)

IBM Informix

SAP MaxDB

Sybase ASE

SAP HANA

 

Please help me understand how the data from Celoxis can be loaded to SAP HANA Database.

1. Is there any possibilities to move some 'X' company data from their own premises to SAP premises for test(BW on HANA) to create a POC

2. If so, is there any tools available to move data from?, In case of sensitive/Confidential data-> is it possible to do Infocube data anonymize? is there any techniques to do so?

Bi/Bw Report issue

Hi ,

      i got one scenario where order  field  and  release date and  delivery info object is available   . i  have calculated error = (Order-Delivery) Right now .i don't want to include those order whoever created after release date .i am giving one example for better understanding .

 

suppose

        order  release date                          delivery       error

p1   1000      32(week monday-sunday)        800         200

 

p2    1000     32 (week monday-sunday)        700         300

 

p2      200         32(wednesday):- should be avoided

 

p2      if any order is generated between monday-sunday i need to avoid  that order or it should not reflected in error Part. if  anyone  want  more information please let me know .please  suggest me some idea.

 

i want to display my report should look like :-

 

        Order      Release date                          Delivery       Error

p1   1000      32(week monday-sunday)        800               200

 

p2    1000     32 (week monday-sunday)        700               300

Error unit dimension for KF in Composite Provider

Hello Guys,

 

I am facing an issue while checking a composite provider in SAP BW on HANA system. I added few fields (including KFs) into the composite provider and a new DSO is connected to the CP as Left Outer Join. But when I tried to check the composite provider, then it is showing following error:

 

'Unit dimension required for key figure <KF_Name>'

 

Now when I tried to assign unit for the KF by clicking on 'change property' then the unit/currency part is disabled though I can make changes to the name and description part. (refer below screenshot).

Can anyone please suggest what exactly I am missing here? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Creation on Composite Provider on ADSO in HANA 2.0 BWMT1.5

Hello Experts,

 

I am using HANA 2.0 with BWMT 1.5 installed to it and SAP GUI 7.4 SP10.

 

1. I have created an ADSO of type DSO in BWMT with a standard cube as a template. I was able to activate it and the ADSO is getting reflected in rsa1 in BW system. I have created transformation to the ADSO with a datasource in rsa1 and created DTP. The request was successful showing the record number in manage ADSO, but i was unable to see any data for ADSO when i display data.

 

2. With ADSO of type standard infocube i have repeated the same as in point 1. I was able to get data for ADSO in rsa1.

 

3. I have created composite provider in BWMT and consumed the ADSO of type standard infocube (ADSO contains data) into it. It got activated and got reflected in rsa1, but i was unable to get any data in the composite provider.

 

4. I have tried consuming a standard cube into compositeprovider in BWMT instead of ADSO and with this i am able to get data in composite provider in rsa1.

 

 

Please help me with clarification on the above points and please suggest if there are any more settings to be done while creating ADSO or Composite provider as i am new to this.

Error while transporting Composite Provider

Hi All,

 

We are on SAP BW on HANA 7.4 SP9 version. We have created a composite provider through RSLIMOBW using DSO's. This is created as COPR(Local composite provider). But, when we try to transport the same, it says " Object COPR XXXXX is generated and cannot be transported". Can anyone guide what should we do different to ensure composite provider can be transported?

Can you decommission the InfoCube completely if you run BW 7.4 ?

In classical BW environments, lots of InfoCubes are created with the sole purpose of performance, and are simply a 1:1 copy of the data in the DSO layer underneath it. So, Now in BW 7.4, by making a few minor adjustments to the DSO, and redirecting your Multi Provider (or Query) to the DSO instead of the InfoCube, can you decommission the InfoCube completely ?
