I searched the forum and OSS notes, but was not able to find anyhting
I stored data in a cube (HANA optimized) wher I added the object 0VTYPE (type NUMC in BW)
When I try to filter on a value of 0VTYPE (20 for example) I don't get any data (List cube or query)
but when I do not filter, I get data for 0VTYPE = 20
Is there a known limitation on filtering from ABAP layer on NUMC fields ??

I have composite provider on DSO, upon composite provider i have queries. Recently i have added 0DSCT_PCT1 (Discout percentage) field in DSO and mapped to composite provider. After activation , if i see data i am getting Error in BW: _HCPR_PROCESS-1- .After some analysis, when i removed key figure 0DSCT_PCT1 . I am able to see the data properly.
Because of the key figure 0DSCT_PCT1 (Number - DEC) has No aggregation property, where as remaining all key figures have summation as aggregation property.
Suppose if i want to use 0DSCT_PCT1 which has No aggregation property. Then how can i use it?
Will the composite provider supports only Key figures with aggregation?

We have created process chains in development and moved to production but issue is when we try to run through FM ''RSPC_API_CHAIN_START" its working fine but when we do via RSA1 its not working and in log we cannot see any message also. Its happening in both the development as well as production system.

The dump always appear when activating composite provider (IF I CHECK the 2 options below) using hana studio or eclipse..

Hi experts,
I'm trying to publish a view created in HANA Studio with the transaction RSDD_HM_PUBLISH. At the time I check the model I have the following error:
| Error for HANA column 'NETVALORD' |
| Referenced key figure 'S_NETVALD' does not have the same unit type |
I have infoobject 0CURRENCY mapped in my model. I don't want to create new infoobjects and keyfigures to solve it with new mapping. Is it possible?

I am looking forward to hands of new concepts of BW modelling(Advance DSO , Open ODS etc) from HANA studio in HCP trial . I am able to create HANA views and tables but cannot start with BW modelling . Once I open BW perceptive I am not able to create project as a result no ADSO and other objects also .
I am in trial edition of HCP and would like to know if it's possible to work in BW modelling perceptive in trial edition of HCP . If yes , please help me in getting started .
Also if no , please your experience on how can I start with BW modelling of advance concepts in HANA studio .

I am a BASIS Admin and very new to Security. There are no Security admins so i got a task of creating one role. Can someone please help me.
I need one role Z_XXX_SECURITY which will be used by the Business team to create the users in HANA. So they need to be able to create/delete/change users security, and they need to grant access to several schemas. I have SYSTEM User access. Can i configure the role with SYSTEM User or do i need access or login credentials of schemas to provide grant access?
What all i need to include in the role to configure role as per above requirement.

i'm facing an issue in generating Hana Views from a BW Query created with the new BW-MT on a Composite Provider.
In particular the problem is related to the currency conversion functionality for calculated and restricted key figures. I choose a method from the panel:
But when i save the query and the hana view is generated a problem occur:
Instead, if i use the currency conversion for a normal key figure the problem did not occur and the hana view is correctly generated.
I've take a look at limitations and did not find any specific one on currency conversion related to restricted and calculated key figures.
Anyone has ideas?

I am currently working on a hybrid BW-HANA model with behaves differently when using DSO vs ADSO.
Setup 1.
Based on 4 Classic DSOs which are made available to HANA via the External HANA View setting. These show up in MT-HANA Modeler as Analytics Views.
On these Analytics View I have made a Graphical Calculation View using Join to map the 4 views into 1. The Calculation View is then used a source in a CompositeProvider. This works ok and allows both the view to be used by 3rd party BI tools as well as the Bex Query.
Setup 2.
Same as setup 1. But instead of classic DSOs, ADSOs are being used. These were created by template of the DSO of Setup 1.
The ADSOs creates Calculation Views, instead of Analytics View, when setting the External HANA view.
Again these are joined in a Graphical Calculation View.
The difference now is that when using these Graphical Calculation View as a source on a CompositeProvider, it is not possible to Create Assignments for the measures to the Target. I can only assign attributes to the target.
Is this a limitation of the join when using a Calculation view as datasource in another Calculation view ?

Hi all,
After the upgrade to 7.4 I have some issues when I try to execute a chain that contain APD's.
The APDs itself are executable without any problem
However when the process chain containing the same APD is executed it runs into error that the variants inside do not exist.
I attached a screenshot for you to see.
Can you help me with some ideas please?

I am in BW 7.5 and my requirement is to create a union of (join of 2 infoproviders) in composite provider.
Example Union D01 (Join between D02 & M01)
How to perform this in BW modelling tool composite provider. I am always getting Join operation as my top node but I want union as my top node and below of union node I want join of 2 infoproviders.
I can able to join 2 infoproviders but unable to add a union on top of it. Please let me know how to achieve this.
The scenartio should be as follows
Union (D01)
Join of (D02 & M01)

I met a strange error in BW.
I created a workbook in Dev system, and transported it to Test system. But the status in STMS showed it has successfully transported. But in the Test system, I failed to find it...Then I used transport connection in RSA1, it had the same result..
system info:
BW 740 on HANA
Microsoft Windows 10
Could someone help me?
