I am using Eclipse based modelling for building ADSO (Advanced DSO) and when I tried to identify the fields added with Infoobjects, it doesnt showup all the Infoobjects under the infoarea that I am authorized to.
I am presently getting ONLY the list of Infoobjects (Chars/Keyfigures) that are under "notassigned" node in BW workspace. Could you please advise what should I do to get this resolved?

Just wanted to know what do you usually do for long running queries or queries with poor performance? For example, I have a query with no formulas..I only wanted to display my customers, transactions numbers and quantities purchased..
CUSTOMER TRANSACTION_NUMBER QUANTITY
That's a very simple query right? The only problem is the query is VERY DETAILED since transaction number is already given..It display around 5 million to 10 million rows of data so the query runs for long time even though we are already on HANA..Sometimes the query failed if it reached the timeout set by the BASIS team..
What do you usually do for this scenario? Do you do some tweaking in HANA database or in BW? Any idea?

Hi Experts, I'm facing a problem with a query created in Eclipse Mars. The problem is that the query don't let me change the key date for master data, It takes automatically 0DAT. Does anyone knows why the query don't let me do this change?

So I'm working on an inventory report and I installed SAP delivered data flow for inventory. However, part of the requirement is to have Fiscal time characteristics, so I added the IO's 0FISCYEAR, 0FISCVARNT, 0FISCPER, 0FISCPER3 to all the ADSO's both at the corporate memory level and the EDW level in the BWMT and activated them. These characteristics are visible on the BWMT for all ADSO's but when I open the transformations in SAP BW that map from corporate layer to the EDW ADSO's the only char I see is the 0FISCVARNT for all 3 ADSO (/IMO/D_MMIM01, /IMO/D_IMMIM02 and /IMO/D_MMIM10. I don't see the rest of the ones I added and for the delivered time chars I only see )CALDAY, I don't see 0calweek, 0CALMONTH, 0CALQUARTER or 0CALYEAR. Does anyone know how to go about it or even experienced anything like this before for the inventory data flow or any other flow? Please see attachment.
We are using BW on HANA 7.4 SP13 and ECC 6.0 not on HANA yet.

I have to consolidate the data between SAP ICM and CRM systems to my BW (HANA database). I am planning to take two PSA stagings for ICM and CRM and merge these DSO's into one InfoCube....please refine my idea as needed.
Also, do I need to do any changes to my existing extractors?.
Finally, I have to simulate the commission case posting.....this part I have no clue. Can anyone guide me how to simulate the commission case posting.

I have some InfoObjects which are based on HANA Views, the mappings are of course correct.
Say I've got a InfoObject based on HANA View C_T880, and View C_T880 is created over DDIC table T880.
While I insert a new entry into the DDIC table, I can see it from the result of HANA View.
But when I right click on that InfoObject, choose 'Maintain Master Data' in the popup window, in the result of the MasterData Maint. opened in Broswer,
I can not see that entry.
Seems this is caused by something like cache, right?
Besides, I can see that entry on F4 help of InfoCube or Query which uses that InfoObject, so it's only missing in 'Maintain Master Data'.
How can I avoid this?

We are running on SAP BW on HANA, as a new reporting requirement from EWM, with the confirmed warehouse tasks, we need all the EWM cancelled tasks as well for the same KPI calculation.
The new SAP extractor 0WM_WT_WO does not extract cancelled tasks (Old extractor 0WM_WT supports the cancelled tasks extraction but now SAP recommending to use the new extractor only).
Now we have the option :
a) Change the standard extractor with our own code as enhancement can not work in this case.
b) Copy and create new extractor and write our own logic.
c) Use standard for confirmed tasks and custom extractor for cancelled tasks.
Can someone help on this which option would be the best to choose and why .

why does the direct source to DTP say "for small amounts of data"?
is this something prior to HANA, meaning, is it ok if there are large amounts of data if BW is on HANA, because i would like to run records in via ODP, this way.
also, what is "small amounts", i have 4 million records using PSA takes 20 mins, using ODP direct, that 2mins
so what constitutes to "small amounts"?

I am facing a problem while creating BW Project in HANA Studio. ( BW Connection is Done)
If I select direct create BW project nothing is happening..
If go like create new project > Select a Wizard > BW > BW Project then list of connection is coming with my BW Connection but option NEXT is disabled.
Please help where is the problem.

1. ADSO Activation failed with the error message " Error when assigning SID: Action VAL_ SID_CONVERT Infobject PE1ORDNUM.
2. Another ADSO Failed with the only message " Error in datapackag 1 and 2 " no other details are available.

We are having BW7.4 SP08 in our development environment.
We are trying to perform BW data modeling via HANA Studio and as a 1st step we are creating a ADSO for persistence.
However activation of ADSO in HANA Studio is causing a dump in backend system and DSOs are not getting activated.
Below is the HANA Studio error and screenshot of ST22.
What could be the issue.

We are using SAP BW 7.4 on HANA and I have come across a strange issue while creating a Composite Provider.
I have added a ADSO to my HCPR with Union in Scenario Tab and in my ADSO we have many Master Data InfoObjects as well. In the Output Tab I am able to select Nav. Attribute for all the MD InfoObjects except a particular InfoObject. While trying to select Nav. Attribute the option is inactive.
Do we have any particular setting in InfoObject to show Nav. Attribute in HANA Providers.
If anyone having experience with this please help.

Ex.

How can I load this in BW so that I get the structure Flat

How to acheive this logic, any input would be welcomed

The BEx query that was created on top of a composite provider takes long time to run while the same filters in the underlying composite provider returns the result in a second. Any advice will be appreciated.

I am facing an issue now. That is the attribute values are not visible if i want to display provider's values. What is not clear to me is this is present obwohl SID table for that particular infoobject tabble is filled with values. And rsrv tests were already employed and no error founded.

Hi,
I have created CV's based on HANA demo tables using "Sales Item", "Sales Header", "Business Partner", "Product" and "Time Dimension".
And built hierarchies on "Business Partner", "Product" and "Time Dimension" and these hierarchies are visible in the calculation view with star join in shared tab. And for similar CV with data category as CUBE are visible in hierarchies tab.
But when I do the reporting directly on HANA view or by using a composite provider, these hierarchies are not visible.
Neither in BEx Report Designer.
Could anyone of you please help me in this regard?

We have Transaction data and Master data (Attributes / Text / Hierarchies) are available in S/4 HANA system (ERP Data).
We want to load this data into HANA BW system for BPC.
For transaction data, we are usingcalculation view which is created on ACDOCA table and on BW side using Virtual cube we are getting data real time and loading into BPC model.
Could you please suggest data flow for master data (Attributes / Text / Hierarchy) ?
We are planning to load Master data for G/L Account, Profit Center, Cost Center and Company Code into respective BPC Dimensions

We are planning to upgrade from SAP BW 7.3 SP3 on HANA to SAP BW 7.5 SP4 on HANA . Appreciate if any of you can please advise the necessary steps or checklist or any known issues or precautions or watchlist or any points to consider for our upgrade.
I have searched online and could not find anything specific to SAP BW on HANA upgrade. Please advise for any links or documents or any few tips.
