I would like to know how to monitor bw on hana systems from basis perspective .( Large tables, etc).
as we we would be having large data into these systems in the future , how can these systems be optimised for performance.

Balance Sheet based on HANA
We are in the process of developing the Balance Sheet based on HANA.
We used 0FIGL_V30 cube to create the balance sheet in BW.
We are unable to locate the Financial Statement Item node to create the Balance Sheet in BW on HANA.
What is the possibility to get this node in HANA-Optimized Info Providers?.

I have created SAP HANA/BWA index using t-code RSDDB in DEV system using BEx query. now i want to transport the BWA index to TEST system, but I don't know how?
Already I have transported the BEx query to TEST system.

SAP BW HANA NLS with SAP IQ - ODBC driver / DLL error in configuration
We have a SAP BW 7.4 system running on HANA and we had configured SAP IQ 16 as NLS on this system for performing a PoC. The configuration was successful and working but after few weeks this was giving error. We tried creating new database connection but with no success.
When we test the database connection by SE38 -> ADBC_TEST_CONNECTION, we get the below error -

We have tested the ODBC connection on the IQ database server and there seems no issue there. If anyone has come across this error earlier and have resolution, then please advise.

Master Data Activation on BW on HANA
Hi all,
I just wanted to check what really happens in the background with regards to Activation of Master Data when using BW on HANA ?
I have seen some information saying that you no longer need to activate Master Data when using BW on HANA(BOH), but how else do changes to Master data get seen if you don't activate them.
Is locking on Master data an issues when using HANA, when multiple users are trying to update the same Master Data ?

i have a spo and i just added a keyfigure to this spo.
when i want to display data in one of a cube in spo ;
if i click "use DB aggregation" gives me below error.
if i unclicked "use DB aggregation" shows me data.
what is the problem in Hana database?
note: i cant display data in analyzer report.same error.

BWonHANA: Attribute Change Runs (ACR)
Dear all,
I have a question regarding Attribute Change Runs (ACR) in BW system running on HANA.
According document: Attribute Change Run it suggests that ACR may not be needed in BW running on HANA DB. However I'm looking for some experience in this topic. So is ACR needed? If so does it run faster comparing to legacy DB?

How to replicate cluster table into BW on HANA using SLT?
Hi Members,
We have a requirement to replicate cluster table from SAP ECC (Ex:BSEG) into BW 7.4 on HANA using SLT. We know that HANA SLT is capable of replicating cluster table but it looks like BW-SLT is not capable of doing the same.
Please clarify on this and any documentation in this regard will be very helpful.
Also wondering if the current release of BW-SLT can be used to replicate Cluster tables from SAP?

Remote Source Addition in Design Time Role
Wanted to see if if somebody has tried to add DROP privileges on a Remote Source in HANA Design time role. I have gone through the Guide and SAP help document but could not find how to add remote source privileges. SP09 security guide mentioned under Smart Data Access that Remote source is a SQL Object and I have tried to add it as a sql object (sql object ABC DS:DROP;) or catalog sql object ( even though I dont c it belongs to any schema in the OBJECTS view ) but getting syntax error. Also tried using WEB IDE but it does not seem to support Remote Source Object types. I can add the remote source in a run time role but we are only using design time roles
Secondly, is there a table or view which can list which Object is a Design time or runtime. For Example I was looking at SCHEMAS view and it even does not have design time schemas entries which I can see are available in WEB IDE

Mixed Questions BW / HANA / BO integration
Hi,
I got some some mixed question.
I'm placing this questions here because I believe the BW on HANA Experts have more sensibility how to perform/decide the logic rather than in Presentation Layer (in another way: BO guys keep asking to BW guys to do "this and that" for performance etc...)
1. Let's say, I have Sales order line items 1M record
a) in BW (on HANA), in DSO Level or you can say Infocube Level or ADSO
b) in HANA Analytics View/Calculated view
c) in BW (on HANA) with transient provider using the HAna sales view.
d) in BW ODQ from SLT to ADSO or OpenDSO
I want to present the data in Business Objects (Webi/Analysis)
Q1. Where going to be more faster?
Because once the BEx Query / Query Panel get executed, there is data selected in DB and data to be transferred to app Layer then to BO Layer.
I believe that b) can be more faster (with BEx limitation) but, I would like to understand how to optimize the solution with BW.
Q2. Where the data is refreshed? BO will send a signal to HANA and HANA revert it back to BO and present, or its going to be directly like same platform read and present? Hint.. I'm talking about "cache". Take attention we're talking Line level!
Q3.Lets assume we install the BO App in HANA instance? how it will benefit the performance. Maybe I missed but, the HANA CMC only store Metadata information. Any special license permission?
Q4. When we install BW on HANA. The Application Server is installed in HANA box or we can Install in Windows/Linux? What are the Pro and CO?
Q5. Lets imagine we buy BW on HANA box. "We" start paying to SAP the "real license" once the project is live (production) or since development? (i think this can be general)
Q6. Is there Bw on HAna in cloud for can use it? I seen only hana, for BW only free trial where im not interested.
Q7. We currently have a BW system, which we're thinking to migrate to BW on HANA. But the historic data like 1990 till 2013 we're thinking to put directly in Sybase IQ. How flexible it is? 
and Each Year we going to push the data N-2 to IQ.

SAP BW powered by SAP HANA - trial version - issues to contect
Hi there,
I am facing issues to get the trail Version up and running. Here my steps:
1) The instance on AWS starts properly and the Status is shown as green.
2) The Connection via "Remote Desktop Connection" was fine.
3) In the SAP Management Console I can start properly following Systems (Status green):
- A4H abapc1
- HDB
System A4H abapci0 is shown with yellow.
4) When trying to start the SAP BW 7.4 via the SAP GUI following error is shown:
"Partner xxxxx not reached
Connection refused"
Any hint what I need to change?

No suitable SAP HANA system configured in Administration Console
Hi All,
I have been trying to attach my HANA system to BW on HANA system to create CompositeProviers and such. However, even if my HANA system is logged on and running fine in HANA Studio, when I try to attach it to BW system I am getting "No suitable SAP HANA system configured in Administration Console" error message.
I am also following the link below to attach a system.
Has anyone have idea why I am getting this error? Or what else sould I do no to receive this error?

Finding memory size of table selection
Hello experts,
There is a requirement to find memory size of DSO active table for a particular time selection ex: Total memory size for all records in active table of DSO which are older than 3 year.
Please let me know the ways to find out these (any helpful SQL's etc.)
Please note that I am already aware of finding total memory size for DSO active table without any restriction of time selection.
Current System: BW (7.31 SP8) on HANA (1.0 SP8 Rev 85.02)

We are now in BW on HANA 7.4 SP8 and facing issues with the Reports based on this CompositeProvider. The CompositeProvider is already in active status and the system check was successful.
We have identified SAP Note : 2019244 for this issue but this is not relevant for our system configuration.
Please let me know if anyone has encountered this issue.

Hello Experts,
I am interested in using SAP HANA Live View for CRM, we are experiencing difficulties in installing SAP HANA Live Browser. Is there a documentation for the VDM available online? Just like BI Content, there are documentation available online where we could see the technical details like the infoobjects, mapping etc.
