We have a planning query built on aggregation level on Composite provider(built on SAP BW Realtime Infocube and Open ODS view).
We have keyfigures infoobjects with 0UNIT and 0CURRENCY units associated with them in BW Cube.
Now, the records having NULL values for either 0CURRENCY or 0UNIT in SAP HANA tables are rejected while we run the Planning Query.
If the 0UNIT , 0CURRENCY are updated with blank(space) value, then those records are shown under not assigned records.
For any other characteristic infoobject, in case the value is NULL or Blank(Space), then all the records are flowing under not assigned.
The behaviour of NULL and BLANK values are different for characteristic and Units.
Has anyone faced similar issues?

Hi,
We are planning to refresh our production BW on HANA system to a test system using DB copy method. Currently the production backup size is 1.6 TB, current memory usage is 1.1 TB & peak memory usage is 1.7 TB.
In the test system, we have only 1 TB memory. In order to do the HANA copy, do we need to uplift the memory? Or just the file system uplift to match the production HANA appliance would be sufficient?

How we can change the unload priority of a table in SAP HANA? I know by default the priority is 5. Is there any way so that we can check the unload priority of a particular table in HANA studio? Is there any SQL statement to get the same?

Hello,
We are encountering an issue when applying filter on Navigation attributes in BEx query built on top of a BW HANA Virtual Provider.
The interface is as below :
HANA Calculation View -> SAP BW 7.4 Virtual InfoCube -> Multiprovider -> BEx Query.
We have directly mapped the base Infoobject from HANA View to BW Virtual Provider and using this in BEx query free characteristics. We also have used the navigational attribute of this Infoobject in our Report variable screen as well as an Auth relevant object.
Eg if ZMATERIAL is the base infoobject and ZMATERIAL__ZXYZ navigational attribute is used in the report variable screen and as Authorization variable.
This is causing the query to fail.
The query also fails if I apply any filter values on any Navigational attribute with error message :
"Termination message sent ERROR DBMAN (305): Error reading the data of InfoProvider"
Using the navigational attribute with authorization variable fails with below :
"Termination message sent ERROR DBMAN (099): Invalid query;Failed to find attribute ZMATERIAL__ZXYZ [...]"
Appreciate any inputs on this issue and how this can be fixed.

We are in the process of upgrading to BW 7.40 with Hana and have installed SP 9 in our sandbox. Based on our project plan SP 11 will be available a month after we start. Since we want to be apply SP Current - 1 we are investigating starting with SP 10 and would like to get feedback from other customer/consultants that are currently using it. I would like to know if you had any major issues with it, how stable it is, and any other information you have about it.

In Master Data InfoObject under Master Data/Texts Tab, the default value for Master Data Access is "Default". In the drop down choices, SAP HANA View is not listed on some but available on others. Any idea why? Is there some fields or attribute that needs to activated?

There is a problem for installing SAP HANA to run the script.

As per my knowledge, we can migrate only Standard DSO, and I observed few changes “Change Log information using SAP HANA calculation view”, and “Active data table as SAP HANA temporal table with history index.
If Write optimized DSO using for daily transitions, and we want to continue the same Write optimized DSO after the migration(BW on HANA). What are the precaution we need to take before migration and how it can work after the migration, or is Write optimized DSO support for migration???

Currently we are at BW 7.4 with SP6.0.
Migrated all frontend objects like queries and web templates from version 3x to 7x.
Most of the backend objects like info cubes, ODS and data flow (Transfer rules & Update rules) are still running in 3.x version.
We are about to start HANA implementation in our BW environment.
Since backend objects are still running in 3x version, is this going to impact HANA implementation?
Before HANA implementation is it necessary to migrate all 3x backend objects 7x?
Please advise.

We have a project where the DSO in the Corporate Layer requires an NLS connection. The GL open line items being archived to NLS may end up getting closed up to 2 years later. We are using a write optimized DSO. We are looking for a way to prevent the open GL line items from being archived to NLS till they are closed. This should save DSO load times during update. Is this possible?
One alternate suggestion is that we can let the open items also get archived as normal and just accept the increased load times on the write optimized DSO, when archived open items are updated. Anyone has any estimate how much load time increase we may be looking at?

Can you please help me in understanding the following questions?
1. We have ECC on HANA and BW 7.4 (Sandbox) on Oracle. Is it possible to consume cubes and DSO as HANA models in ECC on HANA? IF yes what should be the procedure
2. I guess its not possible to make info objects, cubes and dso as hana optimized if our bw on other database.
3. We have BW on HANA installed and I can see that by default our cubes are ticked as HANA optimized. Now to consume our Cubes and DSO into HANA, I guess we need to have access to HANA studio (BW on HANA) to create views and combine BW Providers and HANA Views. Iam i right???
4. Suppose if we have ECC on HANA and BW on HANA and both are connected. Now I can create attribute views and analytical views on ECC on HANA and then Consume BW models in ECC on HANA. Is it possible, if yes can you please let me know how?
5. Can I Install BW and ECC on same HANA database. IS it recommened??

Hi,
We have BW 7.4 installed on Sy base database. I have created DSO and uploaded the data. Now In SAP HANA studio, I imported connection-->SAP netweaver BW with all user credientials and test connection successfully. Now i could see all the info areas with DSOs and Info object. Now I tried to import one of the DSO. I get error message.

So you need to grant access to this schema to _SYS_REPO user as well.
GRANT SELECT ON SCHEMA "EFASHION_TUTORIAL" TO _SYS_REPO WITH GRANT OPTION;
I created analytical views, calc view earlier. so i dont think i have that problem.

Is there a method of copying queries from one composite provider to another ?
Background : my both composite provider are identical in structure and active.
While using T-code RSZC , I am unable to find my composite provider, neither in source nor in target.

We have a quantity field in BEx, while displaying it - is showing as "1423.33 ERR". When we have checked the quantity field, it has 0unit as a reference unit of measure. But 0unit does not have any mapping in the transformations, so it has no data.
Here my doubt is, when we do not have 0unit data itself, in the report it should not show any unit of measure as "1423.33 ERR" which is not correct. Do we have any option to avoid displaying "ERR" for the quantity field except nodim option.

we are planning to get Enterprise HANA. we are already on BWOH ( BW 7.3).
I have couple of questions:
1. For Real time data - is SLT the best option ( considering SAP's future roadmap)?
2. In order to use ODP's - can some one please point me to the configuration and steps? ( Intention is use ODP enabled DS into BW as well to the replicate SAP/Non SAP data in real time to HANA studio)
3. when we create a new Source System in BW for the ODP/ECC extractors and enable the DS for ODP what happens to the "existing extractors."
Do we get a "separate" delta Que in ECC- one for ODP data source and one for the existing BW system.? In otyher words, do we control on the delta's?
4. can we use ODP for BW 7.31 or do we need BW 7.4?
