Unable to activate DSO

Hi Folks,

 

I am getting the following dump when trying to activate a DSO.  We are on SAP BW 7.31 SP 13.

 

Runtime Error: Uncaught Exception

Except:  CX_RSR_COB_PRO_NOT_FOUND

ABAP Program: CL_RSD_DTA====================CP

 

What Happened:

The exception 'CX_RSR_COB_PRO_NOT_FOUND' was raised, but it was not caught

anywhere along

the call hierarchy.

 

Since exceptions represent error situations and this error was not

adequately responded to, the running ABAP program

'CL_RSD_DTA====================CP' has to be

terminated.

 

Information on where terminated:

Termination occurred in the ABAP program "CL_RSD_DTA====================CP" -

in "GET_METADATA_TIMESTAMP".

The main program was "RSDG_TRFN_ACTIVATE ".

 

In the source code you have the termination point in line 23

of the (Include) program "CL_RSD_DTA====================CM030".

 

Has anyone come across this issue and if so any resolutions you adopted to fix this. Appreciate any help in this regard.

Hi All,

 

Since SAP is actively marketing Advanced DSOs, do we have a concept of SPO on such Advanced DSOs? How is the capability of such DSOs to handle huge volumes of data in case SPO is not supported? Any suggestions or inputs welcome.

Need help in Configuring ODP between ECC and BW

Hi ,

 

We have a requirement to configuring ODP between ECC 6.0 (on Oracle ) and BW 7.4 SP 9 (on HANA). I  have gone through help.sap and read but i felt it was high level and since we are using BW on HANA there are some additional setting we need to do. I would need help on this to provide step by step procedure. we would need to extract data using ODP extractors to BW.

Error creating BEx query in Hana Studio: Persisting Failed

I am trying to create a BEx query in HANA Studio. However, i am getting following error. Not sure where am i doing wrong. Error occurs after i select an infoprovider and click on finish. I get this message when it is trying to create query element: Persisting.  I appreciate your help.

The report in SAP BW and HANA BW showing different results when we are checking for transactions @ fullprice

Hi ,

 

Can you please suggest me what can be done for the issue, Transaction@Fullprice report showing different results for the same attribute/metrics/filters between HANA BW(micro strategy reporting (MSTR)) & POS BW (operational retail reporting).Total is matching but when we split between @ FP, @not FP is showing issue. actually the data is migrated from POS BW to HANA BW.

 

for example: Net sales @ FP : in MSTR- 9,483,563

                                                 in POS BW- 9,562,471

                     Net sales @ not FP: in MSTR- 2,348,719

                                                      in POS BW- 2,269,811

 

   Total net sales in MSTR: 11,832,282

                            in POS: 11,832,282

 

 

 

The issue is same for net qty, standard margin, cost of sales also.

Loading SAP BW from SAP HANA Views

We have a requirement to load SAP BW (aDSO) from SAP HANA Views, it should be loaded by batch (NOT Realtime) and can be schedule. Anyone tried this before?

Analysis for MS Excel - BW on HANA Connectivity Error

We are currently having a problem connecting to our recently upgraded BW on HANA system using Analysis for MS Excel.  We are currently using Analysis for Office 1.4 (however have tried using 2.0) and are on BW 7.4 SP10 and HANA revision 94.  In Analysis, we are using the "Netweaver" connection option. When you open Analysis and try connecting to the BW system (which is now on the HANA DB) you get a "Single Sign on Failed Error - Message Type X". We have single sign on configured for this tool.  You are allowed to click past the error and sign on manually.  After you try this you get the same error message again "Message Type X." At this point you are unable to login to the system.

 

I have a note open with SAP for 1 month with no progress.  Reaching out here in case anyone has ever run into this before.

 

Anywho, 2 short dumps are generated (see attached).  I've debugged the login process and Analysis appears to be doing some fiscal year/fiscal year variant stuff before loading and this is where it is failing. We are aware that there is one note out there for IP with this class referenced however it is not applicable to our system.

 

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Objects Activation issues after system decom

Hi Experts,

 

I have a strange issue. My BW acceptance system is disconnected from one r/3 and connected with new r/3 system.


I run BDLS conversion and restored the system with replication of data sources.


Now all the data sources, excluding 3.x are inactive and transformation showing the error "Source does not exist".

 

Kindly assist here.

 

I tried with the activation programs but no effects, even run the BDLS again but still results are the same.

Using BEGDA and ENDDA in the form 0CALDAY during transformation

Hi Experts,

 

I am new to SAP BI and is facing some problem in assigning BEGDA and ENDDA date fields together to 0CALDAY time characteristic during Transformation. Can someone suggest how to assign the same to the above mentioned fields as I need the same to use for BEx reporting.

Error with BW 7.4 SP 10 and BW-IP (Chararc. as a Key Figure)

Hi experts,

 

i face a issue with SAP BW 7.4 SP 10 and the functionality "Characteristic as a Key Figure".

Since we upgraded from SP 9 to SP 10 i get following warning for each line where i have added some text, if i open the planning-query:

 

Data cell RMS SGE TEXT () has no master data for "2" or you do not have authorizations (com.sap.ip.bi.bics.dataaccess.resource.impl.bi.exceptions.BicsResourceBwRuntimeException-NoMasterDataCell)

 

If i click on ok and add any value in the input ready key figure i get following error:

 

Invalid program status\: RFC call BICS_PROV_GET_SID returned an exception: INVALID_INPUT

 

Anyone who can help?

Dear All,

 

I am getting the below error in txsm21.Please suggest how to solve it

we are using Bw 7.3 on hana .

 

SQL error -10709 occurred; work process in reconnect status

Database error: TemSe->XRTAB(0)->1 for table TCPSEG key

 

No Code Page Conversion '4103'->'1100' : CCC->CCC

The buffer synchronization has not been called for 240 seconds

 

I have tried temse/spad  consistency check . Both are fine.

How to use composite provider with open ods views?

Hello SAP Experts,

                                 please guide me on how to use composite provider with open ods view

 

when I searched on sdn & google about composite provider and open ods view - both are virtual objects. open ods view has evovled from virtual provider and composite provider is the new face for multiprovider & infoset.

 

1) so, why to use 1 virtual object inside other for data flow designing?

 

2) in case of open ods view created using data source from any SAP source system, PSA will not be used. if PSA is not used then how the errenous delta load will be handled?

 

3) if I'm using open ods view on non-sap source system then data will be read from source object / table, will it not impact the performace of query running on top of open ods view?

 

4) why exactly i should use open ods view - just to ease bw / hana developer's job?

 

5) if open ods view is created for applying business rule then which infoprovider should be used to store this modified data?

 

6) how will the typical bw data flow having open ods view will look like? SAP data source -> open ods view -> Advanced data store object -> query

in this scenario how the delta load will happen? using DTP only? how delta failure from source to advanced dso can be handled?

Error while executing the sfin queries in embedded BW

Hi All,

 

While executing the sfin queries in rsrt tcode we are getting SAP exit error.

 

ERROR Description:  No value could be determined for variable /ERP/P_0FISCVARNT01.

 

 

Diagnosis

This error diagnosis is specific only to the variables 0P_FVAEX or 0P_CTPCA !

Termination message BRAIN 632 appears:

Could not determine value for variable 0P_FVAEX (or 0P_CTPCA).

 

System Response

  1. Operation method of SAP-Exit-Variables 0P_FVAEX or 0P_CTPCA
With queries from the CO application, both SAP-Exit-Variables look for an entry for 'controlling area'. With this controlling area from the selection screen, the SAP-Exit-Variables program reads the attributes for InfoObject 0CO_AREA (controlling area).

With queries from the FI application, the SAP Exit Variable 0P_FVAEX looks for an entry for 'company code'. With this company code from the selection screen, the SAP Exit Variables program reads the attributes for InfoObject 0COMP_CODE (Company Code).

0P_FVAEX determines the fiscal year variant (attribute 0FISCVARNT) from the attributes for 0CO_AREA (CO queries) or 0COMP_CODE (FI queries). 0P_CTPCA determines the currency type of the profit center local currency (attribute 0CURTP_PCA) from the attributes for 0CO_AREA.

 

  1. Cause of Error

The attributes for the controlling area (InfoObject 0CO_AREA) or company code (InfoObject 0COMP_CODE) were not loaded into the BW system, or the attributes for the controlling area are not active in the BW system.

Check whether this is the cause of the error in your BW system. Display the contents of table /bi0/mco_area or /bi0/mcomp_code using transaction se16.

Application CO:

Check whether the attributes 'fiscal year variant' (field FISCVARNT) and 'profit center local currency currency type' (field CURTP_PCA) are filled in the 'A' version (field OBJVERS) for the selected controlling area. If the fiscal year variant in the OBJVERS = 'A' is empty, then the error is with variable 0P_FVAEX. If the currency type of the profit center's local currency in OBJVERS = 'A' is empty, then the error is with variable 0P_CTPCA.

Application FI:

Check whether or not the attribute 'fiscal year variant' (field FISCVARNT) is filled in the 'A' version (field OBJVERS) for the selected controlling area. If the fiscal year variant is empty in OBJVERS= 'A', then the error is with variable 0P_FVAEX.

 

Procedure

Using InfoSource 0CO_AREA, load the attributes for the controlling area or company code into your BW system.

Afterwards, activate the attribute changes in your BW system. To do this, use transaction rsa1, path 'Tools > Hierarchy/Attribute changes', functions button 'InfoObject list'. Choose InfoObject 0CO_AREA or 0COMP_CODE from this list, and activate the attribute changes.

 

Procedure for System Administration

This infoobjets are  0CO_AREA and 0COMP_CODE and function module also RSVAREXIT_0P_FVAEX does not exit in SAP embedded BW system

Hi All,

While executing SuPM query /SRB/M001_A001_QR001 we are getting below error.

Error reading the data of InfoProvider /SRB/M001_A001


Error while reading data; navigation is possible

and when clicking display data in infocube /SRB/C001 we are getting below error.

SQL Error: 260

invalid column name: F.KEY_C0012: line 1 col 3057 (at pos 3056)

 

Please help on this.

I am new to SAP BI is finding it difficult to change the DATE format from DD.MM.YYYY to MMM.YYYY for reporting. Can someone suggest me how can I achieve it?

ABAP Routin (Transformation) in SAP HANA

Hi Experts,

 

i study the new technology of SAP HANA and i am a little bit confused. I hope you can help me, following problem:

 

In my old SAP BW on Oracle i have transformations like:

 

Table 1Table 2
01Germany
02England

 

So in table one you see the city is a number and in table two the city is a string. In SAP BW on Oracle i wrote an ABAP Routine to harmonize the data.

 

How to do that in SAP BW on HANA?

 

  • SQL Script?
  • Calculation View?
  • Not possbile?

 

I hope you can give me an idea for this example.

BW 7.40 on HANA Update BW from SP9 to SP10 is stopping in the phase XPRA_EXECUTION

Hi all,

we have an issue during the BW update.

Error:

 

The current ABAP program "CL_RSOS_DATA==================CP " had to be

terminated because it has

come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.

In include "CL_RSOS_DATA==================CM01Y      ", in line1          ", the following syntax error

has occurred:

Method "REPAIR_RUNTIME_INFORMATION" is unknown. The consequences of this error are:


  • SPAU is in the view only Mode.
  • The version management doesn't show any diferences between the new and the active version. 


It would be great if anyone has a solution  for this problem.


By the way 'm sorry for the rough description but right now I don't have more information from my colleagues who are responsible for technical upgrades etc.

SAP HANA dynamic tiering

Hello Experts, I have little confusion in understanding dynamic tiering in BWoHANA, as we can have the check box for data source(PSA) and Infoprovider to push down in HANA DB from In-Memory but is there any setting for pushing down tables like... - Change Log table - as we won't do any reporting and only active table can be in In-memory for reporting(HOT DATA) - Internal table in routines while looking up another provider for calculations Can we also define the data temperature which is HOT and WARM in BWoHANA.
