We are SP8 hana. SAP BW 7.4 sp-13
(ECC on hana and BW on hana).
There are some analytic views built in the hana studio in ecc environment.
Can we access those as a source of data from BW info object.
( I tried to access, but I am only able to access the analytical views created in the hana studio based in BW environment.
Is there a procedure to access ECC hana views in BW.

We recently migrated to BW 7.4 on HANA SP13 and we started using Advanced DSOs. However, we are now facing a complex situation. It might be something silly but we haven't figured it out yet.
With classic DSOs, when a request activation failed due to junk data, you used to be able to be able to see the characteristic where it was failing and the problematic value. This was available on the Activation Log.
Now, with Advanced DSOs, we cannot see any of these details. We just get a message saying SID generation failed.
So, is there a way to identify the problematic characteristic and the problematic value in aDSOs? Has the DSO activation log been replaced or been put somewhere else? Do we need to look into HANA? If so, where?

We have pretty latest environment and ran into this problem which seems to be a standard problem in BW 7.x versions while using Informatica as ETL tool.
We are on BW on HANA 7.5 SP1 and need to use Informatica PowerExchange 10 to load non SAP data into BW system. System does not let us create a Informatica type DataSource with below error message.
DataSource <ZINFA_ETL_TEST>(<Informatica>): Object type RSDS not supported in BAPI source system
Can someone help with any pointers if you ran into SAME problem.
Note - We are aware of 3.x process (using InfoSource for Informatica) and aren't looking for that. Attached is error message.

dear all
when i perform a load through a dataflow, from PSA to DSO via DTP, how can i tell or see that the functionality is being pushed down.
i know there is a check on the DTP and Transformation screens for HANA optimized, but i was hoping to visually see somewhere a difference, either in logs, or monitors.

What is the correct username to use in DBCO, when the dbco you are setting up is for SYBASE IQ. To connect it for NLS?
In the guide it used user DBA, thus I am thinking it is the username in Sybase iq that was used to create the DB.

I am facing issues linked to doing init for SLT ODQ sceanrio which pulls data from ECC system and I am getting various errors linked to BSEG cluster tables-
1- In one case I got -Unexpected element MANDT for XML transformation, we have MANDT field mapped as CHAR 3 in TRFN on BW side.
we observed that on ODQ side this init was successful.
2- After that we removed MANDT field mapping from TRFN in BW then we got different error
max wait time of 7200 sec exceeded in BW Dtp and it failed with errors..
3- ODQ screenshot from SLT side shows that we had one init over earlier which we manually confirmed on SLT side thoguh init was not loaded on BW side and now we are trying to run again init.
So kindly advice step by step process to do re init for SLT ODQ case-
As i understand we need -1) delete subscription on ODQ in SLT side
2)delete data from dso
3) start dtp load on BW side
please help .

Badly need your expertise on NLS.. We are trying to activate our Data Archiving Process but failed in error "SQLCode = -1,006,276: Authorization required to attempt checkout IQ_LOB license error in DAP Activation.
But IQ_LOB is optional in our Sybase IQ.. 
Why is it still checking on this parameter?
Hope someone knows this and be able to share what is the workaround or fix on this issue

Can anyone please point out which checkbox to tick or which SPRO entry to alter?

Would you know how long is the processing of the Copy Phase if you have 27M, and there is only 3 servers that share resources?
Also, in the Data Archiving Process I used Maximum of Data Package to be 100 MB.
I don't have much idea on NLS and would really need your expertise on this matter.
I tried it in simulation mode to capture issues prior to the Prod Mode.
My object is WOPT and I used Calmonth as my partition to minimize the data to archive just to complete this POC but it is now around an hour and is still in this line of the Job log:
Lock deleted for request 1- in Mode E
Lock set for request 1- in mode E
Lock deleted for request 1- in mode E.
How long would it take for the next line to show up usually?

there is is failed request in yellow status in aDSO, unable to delete it, please suggest way out. We tried updating tables as well but no luck.

Since we are going to migrate the existing HANA BW 7.31 to new HANA hardware.
I read 1600929 - SAP BW powered by SAP HANA DB: Information.
It didn't mention any about HANA SP11. it only mentioned SP10 as latest....wonder it is becos note not update or ....
PAM doc also no info about this...

I'm struggeling with a simple move of one field to another within a single table, consisting of 2 Billion recs.
To following approaches lead into the error message "transaction rolled back by an internal error: TableUpdate failed" due to Memory Overflow.
1. Simple update failed:
Update t1.QTY_2 = t1.QTY_1;
2. Cursor Approach failed eiter:

Users are uploading an excel file data in certain format. 2 actions to be performed while saving the data. One is storing data into infocube applying some routine logic for certain processing on data. 2nd action is creating UNIX file in different format than excel file format. Pls help in creating these 2 actions in BW 7x.

Hello, I have a problem importing a BEx query I modeled in BW. I made the query available following this guide:

I followed all the steps and after finishing I get the following error:
Message :
Error while importing the Model. Import failed. Check the BW API
Is it possible that the error is that I am trying to import data from a BW that is not assigned or somehow connected with the HANA system I am trying to import the InfoProvider to? 
The BW sits on a different HANA DB than the one I am trying to import to.
PS: Please, let me know if you need any additional info regarding my problem.
